The Africa Region’s new strategic framework, The Strategic Framework for IDA's Assistance to Africa (SFIA): The Emerging Partnership Model, makes partnerships central to the programs and activities of the World Bank in Sub-Saharan Africa. Centered on the PRSP process and anchored in CDF principles, the Emerging Partnership Model emphasizes client ownership, dependable financial flows to governments, coordination of donors, harmonized processes, and links to results.
Most of the Africa Region’s operations are now done in close collaboration with local stakeholders or other donors and aid organizations. The Region is taking the lead in some of these partnerships, while in others it plays a supporting role. These partnerships may include:
