Excerpts of Gobind Nankani's Interview on the Africa Action Plan

On September 9, 2005 The World Bank Board of Executive Directors discussed the Bank Group’s Africa Action Plan, which will support African countries in their efforts to increase growth, tackle poverty and achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).  The Vice President for the Africa Region, Gobind Nankani, addresses some of the highlights of the Africa Action Plan in the excerpts below (provided in audio files):
