World Bank Vice President for Africa, Obiageli Ezekwesili, held a keynote speech at the Austrian Development Agency’s annual conference “DialogEntwicklung” on 21 June, 2010, in Vienna.

The aim of this year’s conference was to highlight the multifaceted nature of the Africa, showing both development opportunities and challenges that the continent faces. Ms. Ezekwesili argued in her input on “Business in Africa: A Changing Perspective” that “Africa is the last growth frontier and as such of strategic importance to the global economy.”

Moderated by Managing Director of the Austrian Development Agency, Brigitte Oeppinger-Walchshofer, Ms. Ezekwesili and Valentine Chitalu, entrepreneur in Zambia and Southern Africa, engaged in a constructive discussion with participants from Austrian ministries, development agencies, CSOs and the private sector.
