Wilson will address your comments, answer your questions and will discuss what the World Bank is doing to combat HIV and AIDS. In 2009, there were an estimated 1.8 million AIDS-related deaths globally and 1.3 million in Africa, according to the UNAIDS report released in November 2010.
David Wilson is the World Bank's Global HIV/AIDS Program Director responsible for guiding and implementing the Bank’s global AIDS strategy. Wilson, a Zimbabwean national, has published widely on AIDS, developed HIV prevention programs that have been cited as international best practices by the World Health Organization, and advised numerous national governments and international agencies.
