Botswana will pilot an innovative US$50 million project being implemented for the first time in Africa.

The Botswana Development Information Center (BDIC) opens in Gabarone 

The BDIC is a partnership initiative of the World Bank that includes the government, civil society organizations and development agencies active in Botswana. The BDIC is located in Gaborone at the Botswana Institute for Development Policy Analysis (BIDPA). Its objective is to promote information-sharing and access to development knowledge aimed at improving the effectiveness of development programs in Botswana.
