Overview

Côte d'Ivoire joined the World Bank in 1963. Since then, World Bank assistance has provided funding for 138 projects that have impacted many sectors.  As of January 2005, there were two World Bank-funded projects in progress with a commitment value of approximately US$2.0 million. Active projects include:
   

Distance Learning Project:  This US $2million project seeks to test the viability and sustainability of distance learning as a means of increasing access to high quality, up-dated, and cost effective training for public, and private decision-makers, and in turn, improve their capacity to design, plan and manage, economic, and social development policies.  Read more...
