The World Bank is helping to fight poverty and improve the living standards for the people of the Central African Republic.  As of January 2005, the World Bank had approved a total of 30 IDA credits for the Central African Republic for approximately US$465.47 million. The commitment value of one active IDA-financed operation is about US$17.0 million. This operation will impact the following sectors:

   Health and social services
   Law, justice, and public administration
