Overview

Comoros joined the World Bank in 1976. Since then, World Bank assistance on 19 projects has helped the country work towards achieving sustainable economic growth, developing human capital and reducing poverty.  As of September 2009, there was one active project with a commitment value of approximately US$18.3 million. In addition, Comoros received a grant of US$1 million from the Global Food Response Program in response to the global food prices crises.

  • Services Support Project: a US$18.3 million projects, including additional financing of US$5 million, seeks to maintain basic social and economic infrastructure for a significant number of disadvantaged communities and specific vulnerable groups.  Read more...
