World Bank assistance to the Republic of Congo is helping to fight poverty, improve the lives of the Congolese and give hope for the future of the nation as a whole. 

Congo joined the World Bank in 1963. Since then, the country has been approved for 32 loans and grants totaling approximately US$600 million. As of March 2007, the commitment value of the World Bank’s four ongoing operations is approximately US$87 million.
