In June 2005, the Bank’s Board approved a US$26.5 million IDA grant, HAMSET II, which contains a malaria component of US$2 million over 5 years to support progress made.
  1. Rehabilitation Support Project (HSRSP) has a Malaria Booster component of US$30 million and twenty million people are covered by the project in 150 zones. The project has a strong focus on "learning by doing" and will benefit from Annual Reviews for refinement based on solid evidence.

  2. The recently approved US$180 million Emergency Urban and Social Rehabilitation Project (EUSRB) capitalizes on the Bank's multi-sector environment by including a US$13 million dollar component that is focused on malaria control. The project will finance approximately two million nets in Kinshasa with the goal of distributing up to three long-lasting insecticide-treated bed nets to each household as a means of reducing malaria-related infant mortality.
