HNPStats is the World Bank’s comprehensive database of Health, Nutrition and Population compiling data from various national and international data sources including household surveys, the World Bank Group and its client countries, World Health Organization (WHO), United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), Food and Agricultural Organization of United Nations (FAO), United Nations Population Division, United Nations Statistics Division, United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
The database, which is updated on an ongoing basis, adopts an analysis-friendly format that enables flexible access and custom-tailored reports and provides links to a large number of websites of international agencies and country statistical offices.
HNPStats was designed by the World Bank's Health, Nutrition & Population Team (HDNHE) and the Development Economics Data Group (DECDG). Team members responsible for its development include Sulekha Patel, Eduard Bos, Abdolreza Farivari, Masako Hiraga, Emi Suzuki and Ying Chi.
HNP at a Glance provides key HNP indicators by country for 1980, 1990, 2000 and the most recent year available. It also includes average data for the income and regional group that the country belongs to.
Thematic Data covers indicators by theme such as population dynamics, nutrition, reproductive health, health financing, immunization, infectious disease, and HIV/AIDS for 1990, 1995, 2000 and the most recent year available.
HNP MDGs presents HNP data for the Millennium Development Goals by indicator and by country.
Data Query System allows users to browse, view, query and search the HNP indicators.
World Bank Lending offers summary information on World Bank's lending for HNP sector since 1970.
Population Projections provide projected population for the overall total, and for groups based on age and gender.
Socio-Economic Differences in HNP covers the HNP indicators for each economic quintile.
Country at a Glance offers country data on selected indicators of poverty and social development. It also provides key macroeconomic ratios, long-term trends, prices and government finance, trade, balance of payments, and external debt and resource flows.
