Gender and Poverty

A main component of the Africa Region's Gender Strategy addresses poverty and includes work to:

(i) Analyze the gender dimensions of poverty in country-level core diagnostic poverty work/analysis (including participatory analysis); and

(ii) Integrate this analysis into policy dialogue, poverty reduction strategies, and priority sectoral investments.

This will be carried out in close collaboration with the AFTPM poverty team, and in some cases joint poverty assessment/SCGA work will be undertaken.
