Latest News Stories Burkina Faso completes PRTSR ProcessJune 27, 2007 -- Burkina Faso is an active member of SSATP engaged in several activities, inter alia: road sector reforms (establishment of road fund and road agency), transport performance monitoring (indicators) and poverty reduction and transport strategy review (PRTSR). The PRTSR was one of the key transport policy development activities carried out in Burkina Faso. The principal objective of the review was to analyze and improve the links between the national strategies for poverty reduction (PRS) and transport, and to establish mechanisms for cross-sector dialogue. The process was participatory and fully owned by local stakeholders. The SSATP provided modest financial support and technical guidance.

New Fellowship from IRF and ARMFAJune 27, 2007 -- In May 2007 the African Road Maintenance Funds Association (ARMFA) has become a full member of International Road Federation (IRF). IRF has a number of benefits to member organizations and one of them is the IRF Fellowship Program that covers a course of study in the United States.
