The most recent items are automatically posted in the following sections.     Events Africa Program for Education Impact Evaluatoin Workshop The Africa Program for Education Impact Evaluation seeks to build in-country capacity to develop and implement rigorous evaluation of policy interventions to improve schooling outcomes, particularly students’ learning achievement. The objective is to provide policy makers with solid evidence to shape education programs and position them to deliver results on the ground. The Program is designed as a collaborative effort involving the participating national teams, World Bank staff and consultants, and impact evaluation experts from research and academic institutions including the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-Pal) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. This collaboration builds on existing relationships and will be sustained throughout the length of the Program through shared work among the various parties, regular meetings (including via video/audio conferencing), and cross-country workshops. This approach will ensure that the activities under this Program will not only fit within the education sector priorities and institutional setting of each country, but will also benefit from the best possible technical inputs. More...

Malaria Impact Evaluation Workshop The overall objective of this workshop is to launch an impact evaluation program to help malaria-burdened countries move to evidence-based programs to improve malaria outcomes. This initiative will generate evidence on effective approaches to increase demand and utilization of anti-malarial services such as ITNs and effective anti-malarial medication, build evaluation capacity in the program countries, and secure longer-term effectiveness of the Booster Program in reducing malaria morbidity and mortality. More...
