About Investment Climates: The World Bank Group has created an Investment Climate Unit (ICU) to standardize its approach for assessing country conditions through surveys and indicators. ICU has generated a standard core survey instrument for investment climate assessment, providing the basis to link investment climate conditions to firm-level productivity. Supplementary modules have been created to evaluate such issues as regulatory compliance costs, SME constraints and foreign investor concerns. The ICU is now working to develop a standard methodology for survey sample design. The ICU is also working to gather or generate standard indicators of the Investment Climate at a national level.

orange Investment Climate Survey Data Portal: This website presents data from two wide-ranging surveys,  the Investment Climate Surveys  of the World Bank Group and the Business Environment and Enterprise Performance Surveys of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the World Bank. The data reports on the investment climate and economic decisions of more than 14,000 firms in over 30 countries. More are added on a regular basis.
