On December 28, 2007, the Kingdom of Spain joined the Africa Catalytic Growth Fund with a contribution of €20,000,000, or approximately US $29 million. Spain is the second donor to join the Fund after the United Kingdom, whose contributions total $194 million to date.
Other development partners have expressed interest, and the Africa Region is discussing ways to secure contributions with them.
