ENSAP seeks to develop the water resources of the Eastern Nile Basin in a sustainable and equitable way to ensure prosperity, security and peace for all its peoples. Joint development and management of the Eastern Nile water resources could serve as a catalyst for greater regional integration with benefits that far exceed those derived from the river itself. ENSAP's long-term objectives are to:  | Ensure that water resources are used equitably by the three countries and that they are managed in a sustainable and efficient manner; |  | Promote cooperation and joint action between the Eastern Nile countries seeking win-win goals; and | | Reduce poverty and promote economic integration.     |
