As of September 30, 2006, Chad had earned a cumulative total of $ 754 million in gross direct and indirect revenues from the export of 175 million barrels of oil since production began.
Since production began in 2003, $597 million have been transferred to the country, $410 million of which to go towards investments in education, health, agriculture, and transport, among other sectors.
