Ghana: Agriculture SWAP (AGSSIP-II) Development Policy Operation

WASHINGTON, June 3, 2008- The following project was approved today by the World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors:

 

 

IDA Credit: US$25 Million

TERMS: Maturity = 40 Years; Grace Period = 10 Years

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This programmatic series of operations aims to support the Government's efforts to encourage agriculture led growth to achieve the objectives of the Ghana’s Growth and Poverty Reduction Strategy II. In harmony with other development partners, the proposed Development Policy Operation (DPO) will support the implementation of Ghana's Food and Agriculture Sector Development Policy (FASDEP). The DPO will build onthe reforms, policiesand activities supported under the first phase o f AgSSIP (Agriculture SWAP).
