Ghana

After decades of good but sometimes difficult progress, Ghana recognizes that it still faces important challenges in its development trajectory. The World Bank Group aims to help Ghana sustain economic growth, surpass the Millennium Development Goal of halving poverty by 2015 and move forward sturdily with its efforts to attain middle income status sooner than later.

Singing for Unity and Peace

With the support of the Ghanaian government, the World Bank, UNDP, and other partners, a number of artists launched the United Artists for Peace and Development Initiative prior to the 2008 elections. With 2012 elections coming up in November, the Lynx Entertainment group is building on previous efforts by bringing 11 renowned Ghanian artists together on one song for peace and unity.
