Kenya: Institutional Reform and Capacity Building Technical Assistance Project

WASHINGTON, January 24, 2006- The following project was approved today by the World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors:

IDA CREDIT:  US$ 25 million

TERMS: Grace period = 10 years; Maturity = 40 years.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The main objective of this project is to strengthen public financial management systems to enhance their transparency, accountability, and responsiveness to public expenditure policy priorities as well as to enhance public service delivery.
