The World Bank is helping to fight poverty and improve the living standards for the people in Mali. As of March 2007, the World Bank had approved a total of 89 IDA credits for Mali for a total amount of approximately US$1.9 billion. The commitment value of 13 ongoing IDA-financed operations is roughly US$542.3 million with an undisbursed balance of US$331.8 million.
