Dakar, Senegal - Some 30 Parliamentarians from 15 countries in the West Africa region and experts from the region attended this two day consultation jointly organized by AWEPA (European Parliamentarians for Africa), the PNoWB and the World Bank and hosted by the National Assembly and World Bank Dakar Office.

The meeting was inaugurated by speaker of the Senegalese National Assembly Macky Sall. Madani Tall, World Bank Country Director introduced the theme and emphasized the essential role Parliamentarians can play in the area of aid effectiveness.
