| Â A distance learning seminar organized by the World Bank and the Chulalongkorn University-Global Development Learning Network (CU-GDLN), in cooperation with the following World Bank Offices and GDLN affiliates: | | | Â Â Â | | Introduction | Entrepreneurship can be a promising career option for youth as they seek to make a smooth transition from school to work, especially when the economic growth of their home country fails to keep pace with the growing number of graduates entering the labor force, and where career opportunities are limited in the labor market. The Human Development Unit in the East Asia and the Pacific Region is thus hosting a video-conference/seminar on the topic of youth entrepreneurship, bringing together youth entrepreneurs, private sector representatives, policy-makers, and donor agencies from seven countries in the region. The main objectives of this seminar are: (1) to identify the activities of youth entrepreneurs in the region and share lessons learned from both positive and negative experiences, (2) identify market opportunities for youth entrepreneurs, and (3) provide all stakeholders with an opportunity to seek possibilities for partnership and collaboration in the area of youth entrepreneurship.
