Benigno “Noynoy” S. Aquino III is the 15th President of the Philippines. He is the son of President Corazon “Cory” Aquino who ousted Ferdinand Marcos in 1986 through the “People Power” revolution. Following the death of his mother in 2009, he ran for president, campaigning on the platform of anti corruption and poverty reduction and won in 2010. One year into his 6-year term, President Aquino will deliver a speech on the implementation of his development agenda.
