World Bank Seminar "Mainstreaming Resilience in a Complex, Networked World"

Following recent large scale disasters in the East Asia and Pacific region including the March 11
earthquake and tsunami which hit Japan, large-scale flooding in Thailand as well as the tropical storm in the Philippines, mainstreaming disaster risk management (DRM) in investments and operations has become an increasingly urgent issue. The seminar will provide an opportunity to discuss how we can make further progress on the mainstreaming issue, as well as ways to enhance collaboration across organizations to sustain these efforts.
