  PARTNERS
Within the World Bank, ASTAE is closely integrated into Bank operations in the East Asia & Pacific Region. ASTAE works closly with the GEF's Climate Change Unit, ESMAPIFC, and participates in the Rural and Renewable Energy and Energy and Environment/Efficiency Thematic Groups on alternative energy issues and development strategies. Outside the Bank, ASTAE places a high priority on developing close partnerships with staff in client countries. This client-focused approach has facilitated project development, helped remove barriers to alternative energy development and enhanced stakeholder commitment. ASTAE has also placed a high priority on fostering public-private sector partnerships, to help build sustainable delivery mechanisms for alternative energy services.
