Education in East Asia and Pacific

Poverty and inequality have been the focus of financial support to basic education in the East Asia and Pacific region . This support has led to broad improvements in many countries in the region that are now on target to meet the Millennium Development goals in education. Despite this, challenges remain. Education has not been distributed evenly across countries and there are many regional inequities that still need to be addressed.  More
