The World Bank Office Bangkok organized a seminar on “Clean Development Mechanism for Livestock Section in Thailand on April 19.   The seminar aimed to improve public awareness of proper livestock waste management, which can reduce livestock-induced, land-based pollution and environmental degradation, as well as help farmers generate extra income from biomass power production.

 

This seminar was organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. It brought together officials from relevant government agencies, farmers and representatives of the private sector, as well as international organizations in Thailand .
