 The new Country Director for Indonesia Joachim von Amsberg, takes office at a very exciting time :"Ten years after the economic crisis, Indonesia has emerged as a strong middle-income country, facing interesting new challenges as one of the region’s largest emerging economies. I look forward to learning from the leaders and stakeholders in Indonesia how the World Bank can be most useful to Indonesia in the years to come.” Mr von Amsberg is known for his innovative development work in middle income nations in Latin America and the Caribbean.
