Country Participation: Summary

Summary of all countries that participated in Open Space

To date, Youth Open Space sessions have been held in the following countries: Cambodia, Lao PDR, Mongolia, Papua New Guinea, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste and Vietnam.

In accordance with Open Space Technology, which guided the format of these two-day events, the only thing that was pre-determined was the theme, which differed for each location.  All themes were based speaking up and creating a better future.  It was the participants themselves who set the agenda, by identifying any questions, ideas or issues they had relating to the theme.  They then managed their own discussions, produced session notes and recommendations, and presented their findings to the meeting.  The process really is one that ensures leadership and ownership by youth.
