World Bank Sources East Asia and Pacific Infrastructure at a Glance: Benchmarks and Comparisons(137kb pdf). This brief provides an overview of the state of economic infrastructure in some of the developing countries of East Asia. It contains sample graphs and tables presenting measures and indicators across countries on stock, access, affordability, efficiency, the state of reform, and financial performance of the transport, energy, water supply and sanitation, and telecom sectors. Sections IV (road transport), V (rail transport) and VII (infrastructure finance) present figures on these modes of transport and rough estimates of infrastructure investment. East Asia and Pacific Infrastructure Report (Connecting East Asia). The statistical annex of this report is intended to provide an overview of the state of economic infrastructure in the main developing countries of East Asia. It contains for selected years information on stock, access, affordability, efficiency, the state of reform, and financial performance of the energy, water supply and sanitation, telecom and transport sectors.

World Development Indicators (WDI) - Data Query. This database offers free access to a segment of the World Development Indicators database, an extensive collection of data about development. This segment includes 54 timeseries indicators for 208 countries and 18 groups, spanning the latest 5 years available. You can choose several ways of displaying the data: index, percentage change, and graphs, and can export the result in standard formats. Infrastructure Data and Statistics. A sample table from the World Development Indicators containing basic infrastructure indicators including vehicles per 1,000 people, total roads network (in km), passenger cars, and others. Results can be generated by country, region or income level and can also be displayed in Excel format. External Sources  International Road Federation. This database is a global compilation of road and vehicle statistics. It is based on data compiled from official sources within national statistics offices and national road administrations in more than 185 countries.
 Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development/Directorate for Science, Technology and Industry. Transport issues covered in the statistics section include maritime transport, road transport research, and aviation, as well as shipbuilding and tourism.
 The European Union Road Federation (road statistics); United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (annual bulletin of transport and road traffic accident statistics for Europe and North America); Eurostat (transportation statistics for European countries); and the Bureau of Transport Statistics (United States of America Department of Transportation) provide useful indicators for comparative analysis.
