Thematic Education Dialog between Government and Development Partners focuses on Teacher Reform

Begins:   Mar 31, 2011 08:00
Ends:   Mar 31, 2011 12:00

In response to looming concerns about teacher quality and distribution, the Thematic Education Dialog (TED) will hold a discussion in search of policy input from senior government policy makers and development partners to improve teacher quality and management.
Part of a series of meetings on key issues chaired by Deputy Minister of National Education, Fasli Jalal, this event is supported by the Basic Education Capacity Trust Fund (BEC-TF) funded by the Royal Netherlands Government and the European Commission.  It aims to use an evidence based approach to generate and disseminate education sector knowledge through debate and discussions, contributing to consensus building on key development issues.

The previous Thematic Education Dialog Meeting in December 2010 exchanged ideas on substantive measures to consider in calculating education financing and expenditures. Participation limited to invitees only.
