July 2, 2008, Tokyo – Japan-based graduates of the Columbia University Business School, held a lecture and reunion today, along with the International Finance Corporation (IFC ) – private sector arm of the World Bank Group, at World Bank PIC Tokyo.
There were two guest speakers, Ms. Jeannie Crist (Columbia Business Graduate), Recruitment Officer for IFC, who spoke on the World Bank Group’s engagement with the private sector through IFC, and Mr. Hiroshi Arichi, former Director at IFC Tokyo, who discussed CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) and how IFC is encouraging this kind of business in its private sector dealings.
The presentations were followed by a reunion of Columbia Business alumni and discussion with the speakers at World Bank PIC Tokyo.
