World Bank Tokyo Office Public Information Center(PIC Tokyo)

The Tokyo Office launched a fully operational Public Information Center (PlC) in March 2004, as information access point to encourage a better and clearer public understanding of development problems and the World Bank's activities and policies. In June 2004, the Tokyo Development Learning Center (TDLC)also opened. The TDLC, which is part of the Global Development Learning Network (GDLN), is managed by the Bank's East Asia Region in coordination with the Japanese Government. It aims to increase opportunities for dialogue on development within the East and Southeast Asia Regions.

At the Tokyo PIC, we offer World Bank publications as well as information related to projects supported by the World Bank for general public disclosure. With some exceptions, materials may be borrowed and copied. In addition, pamphlets on the topic of World Bank activities, materials produced by the World Bank Tokyo Office, including the e-News email newsletter (Japanese only ), are distributed for free.

We encourage you to use PIC Tokyo as a reference center for all your questions related to the World Bank!
