Economic Analysis of Environmental and Social Impacts of NT2

The Economic Analysis of the Environmental and Social Impacts of the Nam Theun 2 Hydroelectricity Project measures the economic costs of mitigation, and the estimated economic values of residual impacts for which mitigation is inadequate or not possible. In assessing the economics of the project, the Bank used the higher figure of US$9 million, which the project will pay to mitigate impacts, rather than the slightly lower estimated economic values of the environmental and social impacts.
