Workshop on Air Pollution Management in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia

The World Bank and the Government of Mongolia has conducted a workshop titled “Workshop on Air Pollution Management in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia" on Thursday, April 10, 2008 in Chinggis Khaan Hotel, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

 

This is the third in a series of workshops sponsored by the World Bank that brings UB based practitioners and financing partners together to take stock of most recent developments to address Ulaanbaatar's severe air pollution problem.  This time the workshop was organized together with the Ministry of Fuel and Energy, which under the new Government has a new role as coordinator of Government activities on air pollution in UB. 

 

At the meeting all counterparts shared international and national experiences on air pollution management, Government plans of fuel options for ger areas, share initial findings of the Bank’s research activities on household fuel consumption, and update information on External Partners’ support programs.
