Praxis Discussion Series

Gender
While some gender gaps have closed many remain. Nearly four million women are "missing" each year in developing countries; women everywhere tend to earn less than men; violence against women remains prevalent and in most countries women participate less in formal politics. The nature of the task ahead is the focus of the discussion. Speakers include Gillian Brown from AusAID, Lulu Mitshabu from Caritas and Julie McKay from UN Women.
