Tashkent, April 1-4, 2008.  The World Bank office is holding a training on “Project Cycle” for Water Sector officials.  Representatives from different ministries and agencies as well as experts on investment projects implementation participate in the training.

This training is carried out as part of the Water Sector Investment Planning Study Mission with the main objectives (a) to prepare a strategy for rehabilitation/improvement and modernizing of Uzbekistan’s water systems, with a perspective plan for 15-20 years and a medium-term investment plan for 5-10 years; and (b) to develop procedures, criteria and a decision support system/framework based on multiple objectives and criteria for evaluating and prioritizing water sector projects.
