Are there summer internship opportunities for students in the World Bank? Does the Bank support any scholarships? What are the job and career opportunities in the World Bank? Any grant programs available for youth organizations? These are far from being all questions asked at the Second Annual Job and Education Fair arranged by International Business School ‘Kelajak Ilmi’.

The event was held in April 20, 2008 in “Dedeman” hotel of the capital city of Uzbekistan. The World Bank Public Information Center (PIC) took part in the event having a display table with print materials and handouts on WB scholarships, Junior and Young professional programs, and Logo and Slogan Competition for Global Fund for Youth Investment. On the screen there was displayed a Power Point presentation on the World Bank tools for youth including Public Information Center,  Global essay competition, YOUTHINK web site, students World Bank library.

The event has become an excellent opportunity for various companies located in Tashkent to meet the students and researchers of International Business School, FLEX and E. Muskie Programs Graduates and FSA alumni.  Job Fair visitors took part in seminars that addressed issues of importance to students as they prepare for the workplace.  The fair included lectures covering a wide range of topics including: “interview tips” and “cross cultural communications. Throughout the day visitors enjoyed the opportunity to examine materials at informative display tables, pick up application forms from various universities, and receive individual consultations.
