PIC visit is a tool for raising public awareness about the World Bank as an institution widely used by Uzbekistan Public Information Center.

On April 22 and 23, 2008 about 30 students of the Tashkent financial college visited PIC. They represented the departments of financial analysis and accounting. The PIC visit on April 23 included the students – members of the ready-witted youth club. The participants were told about PIC facilities and opportunities to use them freely. They took a great interest in the photo exhibition “Agriculture for development” showcasing the World Bank implemented projects in agriculture, irrigation, drainage and ecology.

The PIC visit agenda also included an excursion around the World Bank office, a presentation about the World Bank and its activities in Uzbekistan. During the informal discussion the PIC visitors asked a lot of questions on the job and internship opportunities in the Bank, on youth programs, on grant opportunities for young people, web resources and publications.
