Monitoring and Evaluation for Results

The  internal  and  external demands for more regular, more rigorous, and better quality  Monitoring  and  Evaluation (M&E) practices require government agencies and  civil  society  to  be  better  equipped  to plan, implement, and oversee a variety  of  M&E  tasks.  To  meet  the  demand the World Bank Country Office in Tashkent  and  the  World  Bank  Institute Evaluation Group sponsored a learning course, Monitoring and Evaluation for Results on April 29-May 2, 2008.  National Association  of NGOs has contributed to the course by bringing participants from the  regions.  The  participants  included  the  representatives of Ministry of Economy,  Ministry  of  Health,  World  Bank Projects Implementation Units and a large variety of civil society organisations.

The  four  day  course is being held at POYTAHT hotel of Uzbekistan capital city and  feature  the  following  topics:  common  M&E  terminology  usage,  tools, techniques  and  approaches,  use  of  logic  models  for  planning  and program articulation,  determination  of objectives and evaluation questions, evaluation design  strategies  and  options,  indicator and measurement strategies, various methods of data collection, analysis and reporting, and many other.
