WORLD BANK COUNTRY OFFICE IN MOLDOVA ANNOUNCES A JOB VACANCY FOR: Team Assistant for International Finance Corporation in Moldova Country Office The World Bank Country Office in Chisinau is seeking a dynamic, qualified and experienced individual to join our International Finance Corporation (IFC) team for a two years appointment, on a further renewable basis. IFC is a dynamic organization, constantly adjusting to the evolving needs of its clients in emerging markets. IFC Investment Services provides a broad suite of financial products-including loans, equity, trade finance, structured finance, and syndications-designed to promote worthy enterprises and encourage entrepreneurship. IFC Advisory Services offers advice, problem solving, and training to companies, industries, and governments, all aimed at helping private sector enterprises overcome obstacles to growth. Duties and responsibilities The time of the Administrative Client Support (ACS) staff will be 50-50% shared between overall IFC related activity in Moldova and the Investment Climate Reform (ICR) Moldova Project. The specific ICR Moldova Project will work with government counterparts and the private sector to implement reforms in (1) business inspections; (2) construction permits; (3) insolvency; and (4) agribusiness regulation and investment promotion. Majority of project activities will focus on Agribusiness Investment and Regulatory Reform, an innovative combination that will be a pilot for IFC Advisory Services (AS). Specific responsibilities of the ACS staff in providing assistance towards implementation of all IFC components in Moldova entail: Tasks and responsibilities: • Serve as an information resource on status of project\products (e.g. capacity building); and drafts variety of standard project-related correspondence. • Attend meetings, drafts minutes and ensures timely clearance and distribution. • Keep abreast of the IFC guidelines and procedures. • Undertake analytical activities as inputs for reports, donor report, and Monitoring and Evaluation. • Maintain proper relations with other IFC offices and external resources (i.e. consultants) regarding resource management needs. • Serve as a responsible person in processing support of administrative issues related to program staff. • Coordinate logistics for IFC work and related project activities . • Engage with coordination of various training activities and public events, making sure that all participants are informed if there are changes, making sure that all training or promotional materials are printed all logistics in place etc. • Provide assistance and active involvement with ECA team. • Accept other tasks assigned by the management. • Assist to the Chief Resident Representative and Project Managers under the IC Team in daily activities (eg. Organization of trips, scheduling of phone calls / meetings etc.) • Organization and administrative support for: staff meetings; management meetings; forums/conferences. Selection Criteria • University degree in Law, other social or technical science • At least 4 years of experience working on organization of events, conferences, trainings, seminars • Experience in administrative assistance to the international projects • Experience in working within the international community • Strong analytical skills • Knowledge of IFC procedures would be advantage • Romanian and Russian fluency, English proficiency.
