A workshop on Participatory Budgeting took place on April 20, 2006 in Tirana Country Office. The scope of the workshop was to bring together local government mayors, staff, citizen’s representatives and implementation partners who participated in the Participatory Budgeting Pilots Project. The participants shared their lessons, discussed the impact of the pilots, challenges they faced during the two years of project implementation. The participants discussed also regarding some improvements of the methodology in order to adopt it better with country condition and future scale up of the pilots experience as a necessity strengthening the democracy and enhancing transparency and governance of the local government.
