Youth Voice in Albania

We would like to thank all the applicants for participating in our recent initiative of Youth Voice Group (YVG). We received about 120 applications.

The Selection Committee found it very difficult to select candidates from such a big group of talented and qualified applications. After reviewing carefully all applications, 20 youth representatives were selected as members of the YVG in Albania.

The selection process emphasized the importance of getting a rich and diverse group of youth to ensure their national representation. The selection criteria focused on (i) age representation; (ii) gender balance; (iii) geographical representation (Tirana as well as other regions); and (iv) professional representation (students, employed and representatives of youth organizations).

The YV will look at World Bank programs in Albania to ensure that youth and children’s issues are adequately taken into consideration. The World Bank will offer the Youth Voice members training and exposure to the World Bank activities and program.
