Social Development Civil Society Fund Program

Social Development Civil Society Fund Program

Social Development Civil Society Fund Program (CSF) (former Small Grants Program - SmGP) was created in 1983 to provide a way for the World Bank to promote dialogue and dissemination of information about international development outside its own operations.  Financing for the projects is granted for civil society organizations through participating World Bank country offices.

This program has been providing grants to civil society organizations in Albania in the context of the Civil Society Fund (CSF), amounting to US$436,000 for the last eleven years. The CSF was created to promote dialogue and dissemination of information on development, and to enhance partnership with the civil society. The scope of the CSF is to empower citizen’s engagement in development processes, strengthening civil society voice, increasing transparency, and promoting social accountability.
