Come and visit our PIC!  There is always something new!

The World Bank's Public Information Center (PIC) in Tirana makes World Bank Group information available to the public in an effort to disseminate its work to the widest possible audience. This is in support of the World Bank's policy of disclosure about its activities and open access to its documents.

Based on a partnership agreement with the Faculty of Economics, Tirana University, PIC is located and functions at the premises of the Library of this  Faculty. Our Mission is to bring the World Bank closer to the Albanian people by developing a strong partnership between the Bank and the citizens, the real beneficiaries of the World Bank’s operations in the country. PIC aims at giving the external audiences a resource center to over 1500 titles published by the World Bank on development issues.

It is a space where information and documents on World Bank development operations, economic data, and strategies about Albania and other countries, can be accessed easily at workstations designed for public use. In addition, PIC hosts promoting activities such as book launches, seminars, and other community outreach events.
