WASHINGTON, - The following project was approved today by the World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors: GEF GRANT AMOUNT: $5 million IDA CREDIT AMOUNT: $8 million TERMS: Grace period = 10 years; Maturity = 35 years PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project will help to improve biodiversity conservation and introduce more sustainable natural resource management and economic activities in two mountainous areas of Azerbaijan, to restore the ecological health and productivity of the areas’ natural forests and pastures.
