Legal Advisor

Central AsiaPrimary Mortgage Market Development Project

Baku, Azerbaijan

The Project will seek to create strong supply conditions for residential mortgages, to strengthen financial institutions by introducing best-in-class residential mortgage-lending and related practices, and to broaden and deepen financial markets by establishing industry standards for residential mortgage origination, underwriting, servicing, and risk management, thereby enabling the formation and expansion of the secondary mortgage market.

Requirements for the position:

·            Master’s or equivalent degree in law.

·             At least 5 years of legal work experience in at least 3 of the following areas: mortgage lending, retail banking, securitization, government policies related to housing issues.

·             Experience in developing and delivering trainings is highly desirable;

·             Strong communication and presentation skills.

·             Work experience in international legal firms in developing countries is highly desirable, in particular in the area of primary and secondary mortgage market development.

·             Fluency in Russian; English is a strong asset.
