The World Bank Country Office in Azerbaijan is seeking qualified candidates

for the following part time position based in Baku:

 

RESEARCH ASSISTANT

 

The Baku Office is seeking a part time research assistant for the Macroeconomic Team.

 

Duties and Accountabilities:

·        Maintaining databases of   statistical data

·        Entering of economic data, and analysis of historical trends  

·        Assisting in any other economic assignments  as needed

 

Selection Criteria:

 

·        Proficiency in MS Excel and statistical methodology

·        Analytical and practical problem-solving skills and resourcefulness in performing a varied tasks;

·        Sound organizational skills and ability to prioritize and deliver assignments in a timely manner often under time pressure;

·        Good command of English and Azeri languages (verbal and written);

 

Education: Advanced work towards an undergraduate degree in economics with strong skills in statistics and data processing; a university degree is not required, but is would be advantageous.
